Scope and Objective:

We are seeking a highly motivated, self- starting candidate with experience in sales and technology for our client, they are quickly becoming a recognised brand in the technology sector.
With support from targeted marketing campaigns, you will be responsible for successfully developing new opportunities from an existing lead database.
Targeted prospects will consist of enterprise-sized organisations within various industries.
You must be professional, goal-oriented and articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must possess a strong work ethic, a keen desire to learn, and the ability to quickly master the messaging required for potentially complex technical solutions (Microsoft-based solutions, predominately SharePoint and insurance systems). Training will be provided.
The Business Development Manager will use both self-built and pre-defined databases to cultivate prospects and sales opportunities. The role is an extension of both the marketing and sales process. The primary objective is to set-up well qualified meetings with appropriate organisations. The focus or reason for the meetings will be defined by the current marketing campaign.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Lead and business development: to cultivate relationships with potential prospects
• Effectively pitch professional services
• Explain the technology deals with and illustrate the business benefits it brings
• List Management
• To make approx. 25 outbound calls per day (125 per week); of which 50% would be a conversation; 5% interest
• Target the right people within an organisation
• Negotiate with senior level decision makers
• Arrange appointments/meetings between senior decision makers and BA sales teams
• Understand and meet the criteria for appointment/meeting setting
• Ensure the meetings being set are correctly qualified (i.e, there is an opportunity available)
• Liaise with the Sales Team and offer insight and summary of the client’s needs prior to the meeting
• Meet a set meeting per month target

 

Required and recommended Skills and Experience

• Previous knowledge of, or background in an IT technology
• Previous experience in telesales
• Excellent communication skills
• Good administration skills (for calendar and CRM record management)
• Good time management
• A self-starter attitude
