Sales specialist:

The Sales Specialist will work closely with Account Managers, expand, develop new relationships with customers by directing and supporting collaborative sales efforts to grow one or more assigned product lines. The Sales Specialist helps closing on opportunities in conjunction with the Account Manager or other sales personnel, while actively collaborating with these team members.

 

Performance indicators:

  • Achieve annual margin target and deliver against personal, team and company KPI’s in assigned product lines
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key individuals within customer accounts
  • Identify and understand strategic initiatives within the customers’ business plan.
  • Customer retention and growth in line with growth targets against an assigned set of accounts.
  • Build and execute a contact strategy for each customer account
  • Build strong relationships with decision makers across the account base.
  • Understand and portray core values, articulate customer challenges professionally, succinctly and factually
  • Understand and articulate the business outcomes of the propositions
  • Utilise data to understand contracts within customer, end dates, create strategy to ensure renewal and identify areas of increasing value of contract
  • Understand portfolio and maintain knowledge via internal sources, competitors, learning opportunities
  • Translate to the customer needs when identifying solutions
  • Make every customer a reference point

 

 Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable successful track record in a similar sales role in the IT Services or technology sector
  • A clear understanding and ability to articulate the got to market for a defined product line ie Data Centre/Cloud or Managed Services.
  • Demonstrable experience of CxO level relationships
  • Demonstrable experience developing net new logo business and incremental client revenue.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and meeting KPI’s
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand strategic and commercial customer initiatives
  • Ability to work on own initiative
